Willy Chavarria and adidas Originals fuse grit with refined elegance for SS26, showcasing a collection that sits at the intersection of bold silhouette and storytelling. The collaboration blends Chavarria’s expressive, culturally charged sensibility with adidas’ heritage, delivering a lineup that feels both visually striking and emotionally resonant. The designer describes the concept as a fusion of “grit and athletic polish, toughness and dignity,” creating a uniform for those who have had to earn their place in the world, not merely rely on status.
Standout pieces emphasize impact and meaning. The Chavarria Chicano Sweatshirt makes a direct cultural statement with embroidered “CHICANO” lettering and a puff-printed eagle emblem, complemented by a woven Trefoil and Mexican flag appliqué on the back. Other notable items include the Chavarria Mockneck, crafted from heavy cotton fleece and featuring stacked embroidered Trefoils, and the fully padded Chavarria Satin Bomber, which adopts an oversized satin twill silhouette for a striking look.
Footwear remains a core element, balancing sophistication with a rebellious edge. The Chavarria Forum Boot comes in mid and low options, showcasing a sculpted profile, premium leather upper, and a high-traction outsole for practical ruggedness. Returning is the Chavarria Jabbar Low, reimagined in four colorways and enhanced with gold-foiled “KAREEM” and “WILLY” branding along with a molded leather sockliner.
The campaign reinforces themes of identity, pride, and cultural resonance, featuring an all-Latino cast and crew and shot at a Boys and Girls Club in Mexico City. The full collection goes on sale December 12 via Willy Chavarria’s and adidas’ online shops, as well as select adidas stores.
