But here's where it gets controversial... Powerhouse Hobbs is reportedly heading to WWE, and The Rascalz are expected to debut in AEW soon. However, the focus now shifts to the exciting addition of CMLL's Mascara Dorada, Hechicero, and Persephone to AEW.
Mascara Dorada, aged 24, recently competed in the Continental Classic, earning 6 points in the Blue League. Persephone, also 24, has been making waves in AEW and Ring of Honor, even challenging Athena for the ROH Women’s title at Final Battle.
Hechicero's age isn't publicly listed, but with over 20 years in the ring, he brings veteran experience. AEW fans will recognize him from his appearances, including a match against Bryan Danielson in early 2024.
This move underscores the growing significance of the Mexican pro wrestling market, a trend highlighted by WWE's acquisition of AAA and the rising global demand for luchadors.
